Luke Wilson Movie Fans

Luke Wilson and Drew Barrymore dated from 1996 to 1998 and supposedly had a short relived romance more recently around 2002.

He praised Drew for hiring him to work in the movie “Charlie’s Angels” in 2001. He said: “Drew is one of my best friends. The fact she hired me for the first movie when we were no longer dating and not necessarily getting along that well says a lot. I wouldn’t hire anybody I had been going out with.”

Very sweet–both that they are such good friends, but also that he compliments her professionalism.

About Jessica Simpson, who starred opposite Wilson in “Blond Ambition”, Luke says: “Jessica gets a bad rap because she pushes the image of being a ditzy blonde; but how ditzy can you be if you have your own record company and a hit TV show?”

Hm. He should have added, “and if you went out with my brother Owen,” as Simpson was reported to have done. Lucky girl–star with Luke, date Owen. Must be nice.
