Luke Wilson Got Fat, Got Thin Again

Update: This is a very popular post, so we feel obligated to note that this was almost a year and a half ago–Luke has been back in shape and looking like his old hot self for quite a while now!

I am the first to laugh at dumb things that celebrities do, but I didn’t have the heart to post these in February when they came out. Luke Wilson put on weight. Some linked the weight gain to his movie “Henry Poole is Here,” but others linked it to stress from his brother’s (Owen Wilson) suicide attempt.

But now that he’s already back to the old Luke, here’s the before photo (from February one afternoon while dining in Santa Monica):

And here is the after photo taken last month–sure, not the hottest he’s ever looked in his life, and slightly too similar to David Arquette to float some people’s boats, but looking much better nonetheless. The lady friend in this photo resembles Luke’s 4 year on-again, off-again girlfriend, but I am not sure it’s her:

Luke Wilson to Star in “Tenure”

Variety announced this month that Luke Wilson will be starring in Tenure. Wilson will play a college professor who is up for tenure. The character deals with numerous issues, among which is a new female colleague played by Gretchen Mol.

The fictional setting is Grey College. Scenes will be shot at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania.

The movie will be marketed toward college audiences, so the humor will likely be young and sharp.

Luke Wilson Yells At Elderly People?

How embarrassing! Luke Wilson co-directed The Wendell Baker Story with his brother Andrew. (Funny and interesting movie, by the way.)

So, the cycling champion Lance Armstrong stopped by the set one day. Luke was frustrated that actors Harry Dean Stanton and Seymore Cassell didn’t know their lines. So, Luke says he was barking out lines to them and yelled something along the lines of “What are we supposed to do if you don’t know your lines?”

Apparently this was the first time Lance Armstrong met Luke Wilson. Wilson feels embarrassed that Armstrong probably remembers him a person “who yells at old people.”

Luke Wilson Gets Drunk With Willie Nelson

I could actually stop right there, because imagining Luke Wilson getting drunk with Willie Nelson is funny enough all in itself.

BUT, the story goes on. Luke claims (in an interview with British magazine Empire) that the two began drinking at four. Then they went to one bar after another and continued getting more and more smashed throughout the night.

Luke Wilson Was Shy With Girls

Luke Wilson was shy with girls in school. Childhood pal Alan Schoellkopf says about Luke: “Going to a bar and picking up girls is not what he does. He gets girlfriends by girls coming up to him.”

Luke himself said in one interview “I went to an all-boys school, so I was awkward with girls,” he explains. “I dated girls who forced me to talk to them.”

It is said that he hangs out at L.A.’s Argo, Santa Monica’s Chez Jay, and Peet’s Coffee & Tea. I wonder if this is true.

Luke Wilson Rude to Kate Beckinsale?

It is rumored that while working on the set of “Vacancy,” Luke Wilson often showed up late and hungover! STOP–I refuse to believe it.

It is also said that Wilson was rude and really mean to Beckinsale! Her publicist vehemently denies it though.

Please don’t let this be true. Luke Wilson can NOT be a jerk. I simply put my foot down. He’s far too funny and hot to ruin it by acting like a jerk!
