As long time fans, it’s great to see Luke Wilson movies getting the attention the y deserve. Before, when people thought about the Old School Movie, they pictured Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell, but now Luke Wilson has also earned his place in Hollywood, and he deserves it. - Mitch Martin: If you haven’t seen this classic, you can get the Old School DVD at Amazon using the links to the right.) Luke Wilson’s role grounded the Old School movie. His character isn’t the funniest character in the movie, but without him, the humor would lack the critical anchor of realism that kept the humor fresh and gave the movie its unique story. Mitch alongside outrageous characters like Frank the Tank made the friendships in this movie believable and the dialogues unforgettably funny.
- Wendell Baker: The Wendell Baker Story is refreshing, unique, and stars Luke with his brothers Owen and Andrew, a rare treat! It certainly doesn’t hurt that Eva Mendez costars! The humor in this film is offbeat, and the characters are extremely unique, as is the story. Luke Wilson not only starred in, but also directed this movie. Definitely worth a watch.
- Henry Poole: The character Henry Poole has a memorable, comedic premise that is hard to resist checking out—a unique object in which Poole’s neighbor believes she sees a religious image. Watching Poole’s decisions, or reactions may be a better word, during this film is amusing, but also thought provoking.
- Joe Bauers: Idiocracy the movie involves simple humor that masks a few serious statements about society. In it, Wilson’s character is transported into the future, a world that is dirty, chaotic, and more than all else, idiotic! The jokes in this movie showcase Wilson’s acting ability and his own ability to create hilarious moments through reacting and interacting with other characters.
